Hello there, my crafty friends! Are you a book lover or know someone who is a book lover? If so, the January 2021 Subscription Box will be right up your alley! I was so pumped when I received mine! I LOVE bookmarks, even though I usually use my Kindle! My sister is an avid book reader and still gets book from the library, though, so I wanted to make her a shaker bookmark with some of the amazing images and sentiments in this box!

To see the video, click here:

I made my own bookmarks by trimming cardstock down to 4.5″ x 2.25″ and then trimming off the corners. I also rounded the bottom corners using a 3-in-1 Corner Punch.

I used the “One More Chapter” and “Let’s Have a Word” stamp sets that were included in the January Box. I used the Maker Forte Color Hive Clear Ink Pad to heat emboss white embossing powder on my sentiments.

Also using the “One More Chapter” stamp set, I stamped the sweet girl reading a book image onto my white background bookmark. Once I had her stamped, I colored her with Copic markers.

Next, I created my shaker element using 3D foam strips, acetate sheets, and sequins.

I used the Heffy Doodle Starfall Stencil and some embossing paste to create stars over the front of the bookmark.

I love a good shaker bookmark, how about you?! I hope you enjoyed my video and blog post this lovely Saturday!

Don’t forget, you only have until January 14th to order this Subscription Box! You don’t want to miss out! There are a lot of fun goodies in this box, included an A5 sized clear binder! Eek! I’m so excited to use mine and show you some inspo!

See you here next week with another crafty project! Xoxo, Amanda
